At Bernedoodle Bunch, we prioritize the well-being of our cherished dams throughout their pregnancy journey. Our dams receive the best care with regular vet visits, tailored nutrition, and on-call services. As the due date approaches, they find comfort and security in a cozy whelping area and enjoy daily massages and grooming. Our dedication to exceptional care continues with the finest vet care, vaccinations, and regular health check-ups for our little ones. ENS/ESI
At 3 days old, we introduce Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) to nurture their growth. During days 3 to 16, we engage in gentle handling and daily weight checks to monitor their health. ENS provides various benefits, including increased cardiovascular performance & resistance to disease. ESI enhances their nose awareness and fosters adaptability. Our commitment to their well-being continues as they grow. We take pride in preparing them for a joyful and healthy life with loving families.
10 Step Handling
At the tender age of 3 weeks, we embark on an elevated journey in our puppy-raising approach, thoughtfully crafted by Jeanette Forrey from 4E Kennels. This exceptional curriculum introduces our little ones to the wonders of the ’10 Step Puppy Massage’ method, a daily ritual where we gradually increase pressure as the weeks unfold. With utmost care, we guide them through a series of 10-step handling exercises, thoughtfully designed to expose them to a diverse array of touches, handling techniques, and new sensations. This nurturing process ensures our puppies blossom, instilling in them a profound sense of comfort and ease as they journey into their bright futures.
Puppy Culture
At 3 weeks old, our commitment to Puppy Culture begins, enriching our puppies’ lives with diverse experiences. We introduce them to an array of sounds, sights, textures, and obstacles to empower their growth. At Bernedoodle Bunch, we believe in fostering resilience and independence in our pups, setting them up for success. Each day, we encourage them to conquer physical and mental challenges, nurturing their nerve strength, confidence, and problem-solving skills. Puppy Culture is the cornerstone of our breeding philosophy, ensuring our puppies’ well-rounded development. With every step, we empower them to become resilient and adaptable companions, ready to embrace the world with confidence and curiosity.
Temperament Evaluation
At 7 weeks of age, we perform a crucial puppy aptitude test, following the Badass Breeder Program’s guidelines. This test evaluates 12 essential temperament traits, ensuring each puppy is matched with the perfect family, lifestyle, and needs, while honoring their individuality.
The temperament testing, along with comprehensive vet checks, guarantees our puppies’ physical and emotional well-being. Families can review scorecards of each puppy, enabling them to make informed decisions on go-home day. It also makes it possible to us to guide families to the puppies that would suit them best based on the application submitted and what we learn getting to know each other..
